Signature HealthCARE of Columbia celebrated Signature’s Global Day of Prayer with outdoor festivities and prayer.

We would like to give a special thanks to Shelia Butt, State Representative of Tennessee, who came by to speak and pray with our Residents.

To wrap up National Nursing Home Week, SHC of Columbia hosted a Global Day of Prayer on May 15. Tennessee House Majority Floor Leader Sheila Butt visited with Wanda Lentz and several other Signature residents after she spoke about the freedom and opportunities we have through the power of prayer. Her husband, preacher Stan Butt, led staff and residents in prayer. Afterward, residents enjoyed a carnival.

Our residents enjoyed an afternoon of fun, food and fellowship while celebrating Cinco de Mayo! They enjoyed quesadillas, chips and salsa, rice, Margaritas and Mandria Sangria!

Our residents had week of food and games outside to celebrate Derby Week. Jeff Cathey brought his horse in to visit with our residents!

They enjoyed petting and loving on him. The staff enjoyed riding the horse and putting on a show for our residents.

We are blessed to have Phil & Fe Stack as volunteers with our Signature family. They host the Birthday Bingo every month, and they bring cake and ice cream to celebrate the birthdays of all the residents for the month.

Thank you, Phil and Fe!

Who has a snowball fight in the middle of a beautiful Spring afternoon? We do! With marshmallows!

The Residents had a blast. They sent someone to retrieve Vaughnita, their C.N.A., because they wanted to “tell” her something and then snowballed her when she arrived!

On April 16th we celebrated Signature HealthCARE’s Spring Fling Day. We enjoyed food, fellowship and friendly competition with Mt. Pleasant Rehab.

The competitive tournament pitted the Signature Slingers against the Mt. Pleasant Rehab Flexers in a “Roast the Pig” contest. The quickest team to “Roast the Pig” won a trophy.

And that would be us! The final score was 40.5 – 50.56.

Congratulations to our very own Mule Town Bowling Team for placing first in our region and second place overall in the Signature Bowling Competition.
