God Will Strengthen Us

Life is filled with trouble, fear, danger, and heartache. Many times, we are just afraid and don’t know what to do.

God knew we would have these feelings and is ready and waiting to give us courage and strength.

Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord. (Psalms 31:24 KJV)

When we hope in God, He will give us all we need to get through all those tough times this life sends us.

The World Needs Our Light

The world can be a dark place. So many people don’t know why they are here in this world, and what they are supposed to be doing here. Many don’t know how they got here, and where they are going when they leave. They need someone who can light the way for them.

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. (Matthew 5:14 KJV)

We are supposed to shine the light of Christ and let people know the answers to all those “life” questions.

Be sure to raise your light up high for all to see. People need to know the way.

We “Must Needs” Help Other

One if the most simple, yet profound verses in the Bible is John 4:4, which says, “And he must needs go through Samaria.”

Samaria was a land where the mixed people of the Samaritans lived and were considered unclean by the Jews. The Jews would go out of their way to go around that area.

Jesus “must needs” go there. Why? Because there was a women (which was a sinner) that needed help.

He went to a place most would not go, to help a woman most would not help.

We should look to do the same. Many people need help, and it is our job to get to them.

God Makes All Things New

What a wonderful thing that God has set up the world to give us a new start. Through the solar system set up by God, we have a new day, a new month and a new year. God knew we would need a fresh new start.

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. (Isaiah 43:19 KJV)

When God makes things new, He can take things that were bad, rough or dry and make a great blessing come forth.

If last year was dry and rough, look forward to knowing that God can make rivers in your desert.

Does God Love Me

Does God love me? Does God care about me? Does God even know who I am?

These verses should answer those questions forever.

But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. (Matthew 10:30, 31 KJV)

For God to know how many hairs on our head shows how much God loves you, knows you and cares about you.

Satan wants us to feel unloved and uncared for, but all we have to do is look at God’s Word and the cross to know otherwise.

A Big Let Down

After a busy season of work or an especially active day like Christmas, there can be a down time that can lead to discouragement and even the feeling of depression.

This verse is a great verse to encourage you to keep on going doing good and helping others.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. (Galatians 6:9 KJV)

God is watching all we do and will reward us if we keep on going. We might not get the praise and recognition here, but we will receive great rewards in Heaven.

Be Of Good Courage

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. (Psalm 27:14 KJV)

There are many times when we are perplexed and troubled with life. We have situations that we don’t like or understand and we want to change them. So many times the situation is out of our control and we don’t have the power to change it. When that happens we just need to wait on the Lord.

God knows the situation and He will take care of it the right way and at the right time. It usually isn’t the way or time we want it but this is where we trust in the Lord. He does care and knows best.
