Signature HealthCARE was proud to host a Health Fair on Thursday, December 15th. Special thanks to Avalon Hospice, Maury Regional Home Health Services, and NHC HomeCare for joining us. We are proud to be able to inform the public of the services available to them. It was a fun day where Santa brought gifts, we enjoyed popcorn, and door prizes were given. Thank you to every one for taking time out of your day to stop by and see us.
Our residents had a blast seeing Santa come on a firetruck! He brought gifts for all. We are very thankful to Columbia Fire Department for Santa and his elves taking time out of their busy schedule to come by for a visit.
We are so excited, thankful, blessed, and humbled by the many people and organizations bringing gifts for our residents. Many of our residents don’t have families, but you wouldn’t know that by the outpouring of love and gifts that are coming in for them. No resident will go without Christmas gifts at our facility. ‘Tis the season!
Merry Christmas from Signature HealthCARE of Columbia!
It was a cold and rainy day outside, but inside was warm and cozy and full of fun! We are thankful for the Senior Citizens lady line dancers and Kernel Dave for entertaining us every month, to the Chaplain with Hospice Compassus and his wife for singing with Kernel Dave, and to our very own administrator, Courtney King for showing off her line dancing skills!
The residents had a blast decorating cakes today. At the end, there was a contest to see who had made the best cake. Gracie Patterson was our winner!
We are so thankful for the volunteers that come here with such big smiles and share their time with us to make days like this possible.
Signature HealthCARE celebrated our Annual Hall of Fame. We were proud to induct residents Charles Kinzer, Georgia Hayes, and Robert Hughes along with staff member, Kathy Benderman.
We are excited to announce that SHC Columbia came in 2nd place overall at the Senior Olympics held in Murfreesboro, Tennessee this year. A lot of hard work and fun was put into this event. We are looking forward to next year’s event and hoping to come into 1st place! #RowdyRockers
Samuel Jeffcoat was admitted to our facility a little over a week ago. Today he had a surprise visit from his mom, sister, and two aunts! He has not seen his mother in over 35 years! He didn’t even recognize her! His aunt lives in Gulf Shores, AL. She drove to Texas to pick up his mother and then here for a surprise visit. Needless to say, it’s been a great day!
